Social Media, World Views, being in Ministry and Keeping on point

Citizens of Heaven, but what is the zip code?
August 8, 2020This week I have been thinking a lot about this:
- Being on the front line of a ministry like Celebrate Recovery is quite the experience.
- It is celebrating growth & freedom and anticipating the backlash.
- It’s watching people work through their sadness, anger, abuse, hurts, hang-ups & habits.
- It’s watching people walk out of their old way of living and into a new life full of freedom & joy.
- Being on the front line means being on guard, standing at attention but not standing in fear, just awareness.
- It’s walking alongside hurting people learning to do things differently while making plenty of mistakes.
- It’s creating a safe place for people to just be.
- Being on the front lines of CR is a messy and awe-inspiring place to be.
- It’s a battle, a battle where there will be wounds but where the victory has already been won!
- It’s a battle not against flesh and blood (even though at times it appears to be) but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world.
- It’s a battle for people’s lives and freedom.
- Be encouraged! There wouldn’t be a battle if lives weren’t being changed!
- I am encouraged this week because even though we walk through tough days, we are not defeated.
- I am encouraged that we never have to walk the journey of recovery alone and WE AREN’T MEANT TO! We are here for such a time as this!
